We were the first to operate a self-driving shuttle in Luxembourg in 2018. Our shuttle was on pause at the end of 2019 to reschedule a more practical journey for everyone and offer an even better service.
A real solution for the last 900 m
Some hesitate to use it yet, others try it, just to see. In any case, the shuttle runs in the morning and in the evening to allow our tenants to get to the station safely and comfortably.
We have adapted the schedule so that the shuttle waits for the train’s arrivals and vice versa, deposits the passengers in time for the next departures. It runs at “peak” hours from 7 am to 9 am in the morning and from 3.30 to 6.30 pm in the evening.
“It is not always full, but we knew that in advance,” says Marc Diver, CEO of Campus Contern. “We have a lot of parking here on site so people don’t really need to take public transportation. Besides, we have a lot of IT companies where the company car is part of the package. But it’s worth it, even for a few people. If we don’t do anything at all, then we can’t expect a change in habits. ”
